40 years' experience in Australian Indigenous art and culture.
Galerie Zadra is an Australian specialist art dealer and advisory service with a base in Basel, Switzerland. We assist public and private collectors internationally to acquire contemporary and Australian Aboriginal fine art of impeccable provenance.
Galerie Zadra is active in the primary and secondary markets. We offer art valuations and appraisals; Karen Zadra is an Approved Valuer for Indigenous Art Australia-wide under the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program. She has been around Aboriginal art, culture and politics since her teens, having grown up in the desert north east of Alice Springs.
We have had artworks acquired by the British Museum, Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz, National Gallery of Australia, National Museum of Australia, Australian War Memorial, Parliament House of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Art Gallery of South Australia, Queensland Art Gallery & Gallery of Modern Art, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Artbank, as well as Australian and American university museums.
Originally founded in 2001 by Graeme and Rosalyn Marshall as Marshall Arts in Adelaide, Karen and Dirk Zadra acquired the gallery at the beginning of 2013 and changed the name in 2015. Karen has been with the gallery since 2008.
